Many underspec light truck (LT) tires fit VW 14" steel rims. Bus owners usually have good experiences with them but after they fit proper tires they realize how inadequate the LT tires really were although they are still an inprovement over any passenger tire. Typical features:

• Most max out at 1435 lbs load rating
• Only inflate to 50 psi (very low load rating at 30psi)
• Lack the reinforced sidewall
• Noisy M+S treads
